This site is a is a public collection point for information, downloads
and links that are useful to owners of OMAP Starter Kits (OSKs) produced by
Spectrum Digital.
The OMAP family of processors from Texas Instruments
integrates ARM processor cores, high performance DSP cores and a wide range of
on-chip peripherals to provide complete application solutions. The ARM is typically
used to run a general purpose operating system such as Linux, Windows CE or
QNX so the DSP can focus on real-time computation and I/O using TI's real-time
operating system DSP/BIOS. Each OMAP processor contains a different mix of
ARM, DSP and peripheral cores to satisfy a wide variety of application specific
requirements.
